Tchotchke Series
I created this unique still life to highlight the reflections on the old-style deli bowls and the sheerness of a soft, red fabric. The fabric, draped to defy gravity, is interwoven throughout the tower of bowls. The arrangement sits upon a contrasting soft blue-grey backdrop of cascading rose emblems that I designed. This work is a play on a palette of warmth versus cool, using familiar objects in a unique composition.
These found old-style deli dishes, have a brand-new legacy as an artistic expression on canvas.
