Window Light and Still Life Series Tchotchke Series
This work is part of my "Tchotchke series," in which I stage scenes featuring found items from resale shops or formerly owned collectibles. This posed, playful kitten statue was given to me by a friend from a home shelf. It became another still life painted using the nuances of the window reflections. The sides of this original are painted, giving this reflective glass cutie a boxed-gift feel.
A collectible, no longer gathering dust on a shelf, now becomes art that brings joy and contemplation to any space.
