Born on the East Coast, my family spent many weekends at the Jersey Shore. Memories of that scenic coastline, centered around expressions of love for the ocean, which inspired this work. For this annual "out of the box" series, I decided to create linoleum prints. Carving the linoleum and rolling on ink layers captured the experience of spending time with seabirds and sand at the shore. After the ink on the prints dried, I added acrylic paint to embellish the birds.
