"Lady on a Cliff"

"Lady on a Cliff"

12 x 12 x .75
Hand-stretched, Oil on Canvas
Signed CAO front and back
Satin varnish, Unframed

This painting is a play on the contrast between the living organics in a garden and the common hardscape used to fill or contain growth. “Cliff” in the title is an analogy for the balancing act of life. Sometimes we are just hanging on for dear life, but in this depiction, the strength of her delicate legs wrapped solidly around the leaf’s edge, symbolizes moving along the cliffs of the journey with stability.

A painting has a voice, and this loving depiction of garden life is a statement of harmony and tenacity.
