My still life paintings are staged scenes using items I find at resale shops. These works are called the "Tchotchke Series". Sometimes, they are tongue-in-cheek creations using the inanimate collectible with props that help highlight imagery that garners a smile. These creations are gallery-wrapped over 2-inch sides to give the appearance of a gift, a present, yet in 2D form. 

A collectible, no longer collecting dust on a shelf, now "lives" as a work of art that brings joy and contemplation to the viewer.
